OCN Level 2 Introduction course
What Does The Course Provide?
This open access course provides an extensive overview of what is required by the Christian Counsellor. It will enable the learner to acquire some of the basic skills, and an understanding of counselling techniques and responsibilities as well as providing a brief look at some of the major issues that are likely to be met in the counselling environment.
Who is it for?
The course is designed for anyone who is interested in counselling and with a heart for other people.
Those who are involved in caring and counselling will find it particularly useful, as will Pastors, Church Leaders, and Youth Workers, in fact anyone in the 'people business'.
What are the course aims?
To provide recognised training and to prepare a necessary foundation for those wishing to progress to an Advanced Course and achieve national accreditation through the ACC.
What is the course format?
The Introduction to Christian Counselling is typically run over four weekends (all day Saturday) usually one per month. However, this course can be tailored to suit local needs subject to the required time and course work being completed and thereby complying with the requisite hours.
