What Does The Course Provide?
The ongoing work of church pastoral teams provide a valuable support to many of God's hurting people.
This open access course provides practical training in the knowledge and skills that will benefit the Pastoral Carer. Other benefits include an insight into some of the root causes of the problems people meet in their lives. In addition, completion of this course will increase your own self-awareness, preparing you for demanding but rewarding tasks as a carer.
This is one of the many acclaimed BTI courses in caring and counselling offered throughout the UK and Europe.
Who is it for?
This course is designed for anyone who feels they are called into a caring and listening role. If you are interested in people, then training at this level can give you a deeper insight into personality, motivation as well as the way people cope with life's difficulties.
Those who are involved in Pastoral Care will find it particularly useful, as will Pastors, Church Leaders and Youth Workers, in fact anyone with a 'caring heart'.
What Are The Course Aims?
To provide practical training and to prepare a necessary foundation for those wishing to progress and achieve national accreditation through the ACC.
What Is The Course Format?
The Practical Course in Pastoral Care is typically run over three weekends (all day Saturday) usually one per month. However, this course can be tailored to suit local needs subject to the required time and course work complying with the requisite hours.
For example, the course can be given over three days, consecutively or spread over a short period of time, or even, perhaps, over seven evenings.
